      Description

PBS Pro configuration information is stored in a variety of locations including /etc/pbs.conf, mom_priv/config, sched_priv/sched_config, qmgr, etc. This causes confusion and makes PBS Pro more difficult to use. There should be a consistent, coherent, extensible, and scalable interface for managing configuration data for all PBS Pro components. Ideally, this interface could also be used to store hook configuration data not only for hooks supplied with PBS Pro, but also for hooks written by administrators.
